In a historic old community renovation project in Toronto, the local government needs to simultaneously upgrade the courtyard and surrounding municipal facilities while preserving the original style of the community. The project faces multiple challenges such as narrow tunnels, dense residential areas, and limited construction time. We have specially dispatched a construction team consisting of 5 Hightop HT18 mini excavators and 3 HTHY382T series skid steer loaders for this purpose, each equipped with professional pipeline operation tools, multifunctional buckets and other specialized tools.
During the 4-month construction period, these compact devices demonstrated excellent adaptability. In a 2.5-meter-wide tunnel, micro excavators can flexibly rotate and accurately complete the replacement of old pipelines and the renovation of courtyard landscapes; The skid steer loader, with its fast tool switching system, performs well in material handling, site leveling, and compaction operations. It is worth mentioning that the low noise characteristics of the equipment enable it to continue operating in the early morning and evening hours, greatly extending the effective construction time.
The project not only completed the entire pipeline upgrade and street garden renovation ahead of schedule, but also achieved a daily operational efficiency 1.8 times that of conventional projects. The community leader commented, "These devices maintain high efficiency while minimizing interference with residents' daily lives, truly achieving a perfect balance between improving the living environment and maintaining community harmony.
